Pedro Agrees to Contract Extension With Lazio

Pedro is a core part of Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio squad and he has agreed to extend his contract with the club.

The 2010 World Cup winner joined the Biancocelesti on a free transfer last year after terminating his contract with Roma, joining up with Sarri after their time together at Chelsea. Pedro had a good debut season with Lazio, scoring nine goals and providing four assists across 32 Serie A appearances.

As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Pedro has less than a year left on his current contract with Lazio but his deal contains an option for a one-year extension, something the club intend to activate. The 35-year-old has agreed to the idea, happy plying his trade in the Italian capital.

The 2010 World Cup winner’s current contract expires in June 2023 and will be extended to 2024.

This season, Pedro has scored two goals and provided one assist in seven league matches, being a point of reference in the squad for younger talents like Luka Romero.
