Igli Tare has received an offer from a Premier League club but is waiting for contract talks with Lazio.
The 49-year-old Albanian sporting director’s contract expires with the Biancocelesti at the end of this year and it was unclear if a new deal would be offered or not. Tare was seemingly close to leaving Lazio at the end of last season but ultimately continued working alongside Claudio Lotito, entering the final year of his contract.
As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio have decided to offer Tare a new contract and are gearing up for talks with the sporting director, who has received a lucrative offer from a Premier League club recently.
The 49-year-old has a close relationship with Lotito and so wants to wait for a new offer from the club before deciding what to do.
Fans have started to grow impatient with Tare in recent years, with recent flops like Denis Vavro and Dimitrije Kamenovic proving frustrating.
