New Tests Scheduled for Injured Lazio Star

Lazio talisman Ciro Immobile will undergo a new round of tests next week as he continues recovering from a recent hamstring injury.

The 32-year-old Italian striker suffered the injury in the 29th minute of the Biancocelesti’s 0-0 draw with Udinese last week, looking pained as he limped off the pitch. Maurizio Sarri was hopeful when discussing Immobile’s condition in a press conference yesterday, but it’s still going to be difficult for Lazio in the run-up to the World Cup break.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Immobile will undergo an MRI on Tuesday next week to shed further light on his hamstring injury. He will be forced to miss a number of matches before the World Cup break but could possibly appear in the clash with Juventus on 13th November.

Lazio have consistently struggled without Immobile on the pitch and will have to dig deep to pick up as many points as possible before the break next month.
