The fast approaching Derby della Capitale will also play host to a duel between Lazio winger Mattia Zaccagni and Roma talisman Nicolo Zaniolo.
The pair have a known history together, stemming from their personal lives off the pitch; Zaniolo previously dated Neapolitan influencer Chiara Nasti and she entered a relationship with Zaccagni earlier this year, creating a little tension between the pair.
Things got more personal following Roma’s Conference League victory parade, when the Roma man was seen laughing at a chant insulting the Lazio winger, and insults were posted by Nasti on social media. The pair were both called up by Roberto Mancini for an Azzurri training camp but both later withdrew.
As highlighted by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), today’s derby between Roma and Lazio also plays host to a more personal duel between Zaniolo and Zaccagni, a game in which both will be hoping to be the hero.
The Biancocelesti winger has done well in front of goal this year, scoring five in 12 Serie A appearances, whilst the Giallorossi forward has only netted once in eight appearances.
