Electric Winger on Track for New Long-Term Contract With Lazio

Felipe Anderson was the star of the show in Lazio’s Derby della Capitale win over Roma and seems to be on track to receive a new deal in the Italian capital.

The Brazilian winger returned to the Biancocelesti last year in a deal worth around €3m from West Ham, dropping his wages to sign a three-year deal with the Roman club. Felipe Anderson has grown significantly under Maurizio Sarri and this season has impressed, scoring four goals and providing four assists in 19 games across all competitions.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Lazio are preparing to sit down and discuss a new contract with Felipe Anderson, seemingly ready to offer him a long-term deal.

The 29-year-old has started to show signs of consistency under Sarri and is enjoying his football in the Italian capital, finally managing to show his true qualities.

Last season, Felipe Anderson scored six goals and provided eight assists in 38 Serie A appearances.
