Lazio have been drawn against Romanian outfit CFR Cluj for their Europa Conference League play-off clash.
The Biancocelesti suffered relegation to the Conference League following their painful 1-0 defeat to Feyenoord last week, a result that left them third in Group F. The team will now have to beat Cluj to book their spot in the Round of 16 of the competition, a tournament that intercity rivals Roma won last year.
UEFA carried out their Champions League, Europa League and Europa Conference League draws yesterday, where it was confirmed that Lazio would face CFR Cluj in their play-off games.
The first leg will be played on 16th February at 21:00 CET at the Stadio Olimpico, with the return leg coming on 23rd February at 18.45 CET at the Stadionul Constantin Rădulescu.
Lazio have faced CFR Cluj twice in the past, back in the Europa League in the 2019-20 season. The Roman club lost the first meeting 2-1 in Romania but secured a 1-0 win at home two months later.
