Lazio Star Ruled Out of Juventus Clash Through Injury

Lazio talisman Ciro Immobile will not take part in the upcoming game against Juventus due to a physical issue.

The 32-year-old Italian striker suffered a hamstring injury during a draw with Udinese last month, forcing him to miss three games in Serie A and two in the Europa League. Immobile returned for a brief cameo appearance in the win over Monza earlier this week, playing four minutes for his first taste of action in around four weeks.

As announced by Lazio, Immobile was forced to stop during today’s training session in Formello after suffering a strain to his right thigh. He will not travel with the Lazio squad to Turin for their game against Juventus and has now started a treatment plan in the Italian capital.

Immobile will be able to use the six-week Serie A break to recover and return to full fitness ahead of Lazio’s first game of the new year against Lecce on 4th January.
