The Lazio squad have resumed training in Formello following the start of the six-week World Cup break.
Biancocelesti coach Maurizio Sarri has drawn up a clear plan to keep the squad in top condition ahead of their return to action on 4th January against Lecce. The squad will carry out training sessions in Formello this week until Saturday 19th November, when they’ll be given an 11-day holiday. The players will then reconvene in Formello on 30th November.
La Lazio Siamo Noi details how the December plan is still being finalised. Lazio will not go to Argentina and Turkey also looks unlikely, leaving either Spain or simply staying in Rome for the training retreat.
Only Matias Vecino and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic are going to the World Cup in Qatar, but a number of other players are also involved in friendlies in this period, ranging from Elseid Hysaj, Matteo Cancellieri and Ivan Provedel to Mario Gila, Adam Marusic and Marius Adamonis.
Ciro Immobile, Manuel Lazzari and Mattia Zaccagni are all sidelined with injuries but are hoping to return with the squad at the end of this month.
