Lazio President Lotito on Futures of Milinkovic-Savic & Luis Alberto

Lazio president Claudio Lotito was clear when discussing the futures of star midfielders Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Luis Alberto.

The former is continuing to prove his qualities as one of the best midfielders in the world under Maurizio Sarri and has been increasingly linked with a move to Juventus ahead of the January transfer window, with around 18 months left on his contract with Lazio. The latter’s agent recently expressed his unhappiness in Rome, suggesting a departure is on the horizon.

Speaking to Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lotito first shed some light on the future of Milinkovic-Savic amid the various transfer rumours.

Everyone says Milinkovic-Savic will go here, go there, but he’s not for sale, it’s known what he’s worth to me and to Lazio, and I’m firm on the renewal talks.

Among other things I want to wish both him and Vecino a great World Cup, as they will be representing Lazio.

The Lazio president also responded to the recent interview given by Miguel Alfaro, a member of Luis Alberto’s entourage.

If he wants to leave, bring a team with money, because I really won’t think about giving him out on loan in January. And I haven’t received any offer from Atletico Madrid.

Milinkovic-Savic was heavily linked with a move away from Rome in the summer, with both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United seemingly keen on snapping him up, but a transfer never came. He and his agent Mateja Kezman have postponed contract talks until after the World Cup.
