Maurizio Sarri is expecting to have four injured Lazio players back in his setup for the training camp during the World Cup break.

Serie A started a six-week pause earlier this week to allow space for players to head off to the tournament in Qatar, which kicks off on Sunday. The league will return on 4th January, when Lazio will face Lecce in their first match of 2023, kicking off the second half of the season.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), the six-week World Cup break gives Lazio some time to recover four of their injured regulars, allowing Sarri to have a fully fit squad for the upcoming work in the new year.

Ciro Immobile, Mattia Zaccagni, Manuel Lazzari and Patric are all currently dealing with injuries but are expected to join the squad on 29th November, when the players will restart training in Formello with Sarri.

Only two Lazio players are taking part in the World Cup in Qatar: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic with Serbia and Matias Vecino with Uruguay.
