Real Madrid Looking To Convince Lazio Star of Move to Spain

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is reportedly ready to personally intervene in an attempt to sign Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 27-year-old Biancocelesti midfielder’s future has been a hot topic for months and with 18 months left on his contract in the Italian capital, the transfer market noise is starting to grow unbearable in Rome.

Milinkovic-Savic and his agent Mateja Kezman have made it clear that contract renewal talks won’t be held until after the World Cup in Qatar and anxiety is starting to grow in the Lazio environment.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Real Madrid are seriously interested in snapping up Milinkovic-Savic in the coming months and their president Perez is ready to personally intervene as he looks to convince the Serbian star of the move to the Spanish capital.

Milinkovic-Savic would welcome a move away from the Biancocelesti, although he won’t push for a transfer and would like the club to cash in from his departure.

Although an offer for Milinkovic-Savic may not arrive in January, it’s clear that Real Madrid are serious about the 27-year-old and next summer could be the right time to secure his signature.
