Lazio Exploring Loan Move for Borussia Dortmund Left Back

Lazio are thinking about making a move for Borussia Dortmund full back Nico Schulz and have opened talks with the Bundesliga giants.

Biancocelesti coach Maurizio Sarri has made it clear that he needs a new left back in the upcoming January transfer window, unhappy with his current options in the role. Elseid Hysaj has failed to impress, Stefan Radu is clearly entering his final months with the club and Adam Marusic has done well considering his adaption to the role.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio president Claudio Lotito held a meeting with his Borussia Dortmund counterpart Michele Puller to discuss a possible move for Schulz.

The 29-year-old German left back could be released on loan in January and the Bundesliga giants may even pay a portion of his wages to help push a move through.

Schulz has not made a single appearance for Dortmund this season and there are rumours that off-pitch issues, allegedly related to domestic violence, are behind his lack of playing time.
