Lazio team manager Stefan Derkum is currently in Turkey making the final evaluations for the club’s winter training camp.
The Biancocelesti resumed training in Formello with Maurizio Sarri earlier this week, coming together after a short break following the first half of the season. Lazio’s first game after the World Cup break is against Lecce on 4th January, so the club are keen to set up a training camp later this month to help them prepare for the second half of the campaign.
As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Derkum is currently in Belek in Turkey, inspecting the various facilities and logistics of a Lazio training camp. The idea is to set up two friendly matches, one of which will be against Galatasaray.
The club have seemingly decided to go ahead with the plan, which’ll see the team train on the Mediterranean coast from 12th to 19th December in Belek. The final checks are now being completed and an official announcement could come next week.
