Lazio have opened talks with the agent of winger Mattia Zaccagni to start discussing a new contract.
The 27-year-old Italian forward has been on fire this season under Maurizio Sarri, scoring five goals and providing three assists in 13 Serie A appearances. Zaccagni has been a perfect fit for Lazio since his arrival from Hellas Verona last year and has grown into a fan favourite in the Italian capital.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Zaccagni has recently changed his agent to Mario Giuffredi and Lazio have started talks to negotiate a new contract with the winger.
The club’s current idea is to offer a new deal lasting until June 2027 with a significant salary bump, rewarding the 27-year-old for his excellent work in Rome.
Zaccagni has made 54 appearances across all competitions for Lazio since his arrival, scoring 10 goals and providing 11 assists in that time. He is a key part of the Biancocelesti’s attack alongside Immobile.
