Lazio Confirm Plans for Winter Training Retreat

Lazio have decided to move forward with their plans for a winter training retreat in Turkey, which the squad are set to head off to later this month.

The Biancocelesti’s first game in 2023 is against Lecce on 4th January, giving them a month to prepare for the second half of the season. Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Matias Vecino have both returned to Rome following Serbia and Uruguay’s elimination from the World Cup, giving Maurizio Sarri his entire squad.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic and Vecino are both set to join the Lazio squad for their winter training retreat in Turkey, which will kick off on 12th December in Belek.

In the training camp, the Biancocelesti will face Galatasaray in a friendly as well as another team, which could possibly be Andrea Pirlo’s Fatih Karagumruk.

A third friendly will be played around 20th December, allowing the Lazio squad to regain some match sharpness ahead of the second half of the season.
