Lazio’s contract renewal talks with midfielder Danilo Cataldi are moving forward positively and a total agreement could be reached soon.
The 28-year-old Italian’s current deal expires with the Biancocelesti in 2024 and the club are keen to tie him down to a new contract, protecting their talismanic midfielder. Cataldi is a product of Lazio’s youth system and is a lifelong supporter of the club, endearing him to the supporters.
As reported by TMW (via LazioNews24), talks between Lazio and Cataldi’s entourage have been going on for a little while now and things are going to plan, with the player keen to sign a new deal.
The Biancocelesti are now close to reaching a total agreement with the Italian midfielder, whose new deal will expire in 2027 and come with a rewarding salary bump.
The 27-year-old Cataldi has made 19 appearances across all competitions this season, for a total of 1284 minutes. In that time, he’s continued shining as a defensive midfielder.
