Luis Alberto is clearly unhappy with his current position at Lazio but a departure in the January transfer does not look likely.
One of the 30-year-old Spaniard’s representatives admitted last month that his client was ‘uncomfortable’ in the Italian capital this season.
Maurizio Sarri has significantly reduced the chances available to Luis Alberto, often leaving him on the bench and deploying him as a super sub in the second half of games.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), despite Luis Alberto’s unhappiness with the current situation at Lazio, he’s not set to depart the club in January.
President Claudio Lotito asked Sarri to try and mend relations with the Spanish midfielder, whose contract expires with the Biancocelesti in June 2025.
Lazio are not willing to carry out any trade or loan deals for Luis Alberto, only open to outright offers, leaving chances of a departure in the winter transfer window slim. A concrete offer of €25-30 million could be enough to change the club’s mind, however.
