Lazio are preparing for two friendly matches in Turkey but could set up another test in Spain before the restart of Serie A.

The Biancocelesti squad and coach Maurizio Sarri headed off to Manavgat, Turkey, today to kickstart their short mid-season retreat, where they’ll face Galatasaray and Hatayspor in two friendlies.

Lazio will leave Turkey on 17th December and will have a few weeks to prepare for Serie A’s return, with their first game being against Lecce on 4th January.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Lazio are considering setting up a friendly match against Spanish side Cadiz after their trip to Turkey, which could possibly be played on 20th December.

Sarri is keen to ensure that his squad are fully match fit ahead of the second half of the season, an important period for the team as they fight for a top four finish.

Cadiz and Lazio have never faced each other in a competitive match before and the Spanish side currently sit 19th in league table.
