Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic is currently dealing with a painful ankle injury and will likely miss the upcoming friendly with Hatayspor.
The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder suffered the initial issue during the last league game against Juventus on 13th November and had a minor relapse in the World Cup clash with Brazil, forcing him to grit his teeth in Qatar to get through the tournament.
Milinkovic-Savic has since returned to the Lazio environment and is now preparing for the second half of the season with his teammates.
As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Milinkovic-Savic currently has a swollen and sore ankle, putting him in doubt for Lazio’s upcoming friendly with Hatayspor. He will likely be rested for a few days, giving him time to recover after a busy period.
With 20 days until the Biancocelesti’s first game of 2023 against Lecce, there are currently no concerns that he’ll be forced to miss out.
Milinkovic-Savic has scored five goals and provided seven assists in 20 appearances across all competitions this season.
