Arsenal Serious About Lazio Star as Transfer Window Nears

Arsenal have been keeping a close eye on Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for a long while now and are prepared to launch a serious move for the Lazio star.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder has grown into one of the best midfielders in the world over the last few years, shining in the Italian capital and proving his abilities as a flexible and exciting player.

With only 18 months left on his contract with Lazio, Milinkovic-Savic seems destined for a move to a top club in the coming months, despite the club’s desperation to tie him down to a new contract.

As highlighted by the Italian press and Radiosei (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Arsenal have been following Milinkovic-Savic for a while now and even sent a scout to watch the Serbian star during Lazio’s clash with Hellas Verona on 11th September.

Initial talks have already been held with the player’s agent Mateja Kezman and the Premier League outfit are now gearing up to send in an offer.

In June, Milinkovic-Savic ruled out the possibility of joining Arsenal as he wanted to compete in the Champions League, but the incredible work of Mikel Arteta and his squad this season have changed the 27-year-old’s mind and he’d now welcome the move to North London.

Whilst Lazio do want to protect their star with a new contract, they’re also willing to accept a fair offer and cash in on the Serbian midfielder, appreciating his loyalty and professionalism over the last few years.
