Luca Pellegrini is ready to return to Italy after a tough experience in Germany with Eintracht Frankfurt and Lazio are keen to pick up the Juventus loanee.

The 23-year-old Italian left back did not impress Massimiliano Allegri last season and was sent to the Bundesliga to continue his development in the summer. Things haven’t gone particularly to plan with Eintracht and now Pellegrini is ready to come back to Serie A, believing he’d find more success in his home league.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), rumours from Germany suggest that Pellegrini had a falling out with Eintracht coach Oliver Glasner at some point in November, which explains why he did not start in final three games before the World Cup break.

A meeting was planned between Lazio and the Italian left back’s entourage in December but ultimately no significant progress was made.

Things are expected to be rescheduled in the coming weeks, with the Biancocelesti interested in the idea of picking up Pellegrini on loan in January. The 23-year-old is keen on the move but it may be tough for the Roman outfit to find an agreement that suits all parties, with his wages being a possible roadblock.
