Lazio are keen to tie down veteran winger Pedro to a new contract but the 35-year-old is looking to stall talks for a few weeks.
The 2010 World Cup winner signed a two-year contract with the Biancocelesti when he joined on a free transfer last year, becoming one of only a handful of players to directly cross the River Tiber.
Pedro has proven himself to be an important part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad, scoring 14 goals and providing eight assists across 59 appearances.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Pedro is open to signing a new contract with Lazio but is also intrigued by the prospect of closing out his career with a club in the United Arab Emirates.
The 35-year-old is looking to postpone any contract talks with the Biancocelesti until February, giving him time to consider his options and evaluate any offers.
Lazio aren’t keen to lose the former Chelsea and Barcelona winger, so will make an approach next month to try and reach an agreement.
