Mattia Zaccagni has continued to impress at Lazio this season and is ready to put pen to paper on a new contract.
The 27-year-old Italian winger joined the Biancocelesti last year from Hellas Verona on a loan deal with a €7.1 million obligation to buy clause attached, which was activated in the summer. Zaccagni has been a key figure for Maurizio Sarri since his arrival and is a core part of the new-look squad in the Italian capital.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Zaccagni is ready to sign a new contract with Lazio, tying him to the club until 2027. The agreement will also see his salary raised, in line with his importance to the club.
The Italian winger currently earns around €1.5 million net per season in Rome and this will rise to €2 million net plus add-ons, rewarding him for his work in the Eternal City.
Zaccagni has scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists in 54 appearances across all competitions for Lazio.
