Cadiz Make Approach for Frustrated Lazio Star

Cadiz have approached Lazio to discuss a deal for midfielder Luis Alberto, but seemingly face an uphill battle.

The 30-year-old Spaniard is clearly unhappy in the Italian capital under Maurizio Sarri, struggling to show his best in the Italian coach’s fast-moving 4-3-3 system. Luis Alberto has only made five starts in the league this season and one of his representatives highlighted how his client was ‘uncomfortable’ with the situation in Rome.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Cadiz approached Lazio to ask for Luis Alberto on a dry loan deal. The Biancocelesti predictably said no, wanting the inclusion of an obligation to buy clause worth around €20 million.

Before the away match against Atalanta on 23rd October, Luis Alberto spoke to sporting director Igli Tare in Formello, asking him to arrange a move away from the Italian capital. Since then, he’s only started twice.

Atletico Madrid, Sevilla and Valencia are all reportedly keen on picking up the 30-year-old midfielder as well, so Lazio will wait for a convincing offer to arrive this month.
