Luis Alberto will not be joining his Lazio teammates for their trip to Lecce due to a slight knee injury.
The 30-year-old Spanish midfielder has not had the best of seasons in the Italian capital this campaign, being mostly relegated to a bench role. He’s only made five Serie A starts all season and before the World Cup break one of his representatives suggested that his client was ‘uncomfortable’ with his situation in Rome.
As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Luis Alberto will not be part of Lazio’s squad for their away clash with Lecce due to a slight knee problem. The Spaniard is dealing with some collateral discomfort and slight swelling.
Lazio will be hoping to recover Luis Alberto for their weekend clash with Empoli, although he could be rested ahead of the game with Sassuolo on 15th January.
The 30-year-old Spaniard has scored four goals and provided two assists in 17 appearances this season.
