Antonio Sanabria is interested in the idea of joining Lazio this month as the club consider a move for the Torino forward.
The Biancocelesti clearly need to sign a new backup forward in the mid-season transfer window, something that was particularly apparent in the first half of the season when Ciro Immobile was out with a hamstring injury.
Lazio have relatively limited resources for this transfer window and so need to find the right low-cost opportunities, restricting the scope of their search.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Sanabria has given the green light on a possible move to Lazio this month, but he may not be easy to pry from Torino.
The Granata aren’t willing to consider a deal until they secure Roma’s Eldor Shomurodov, who they’re hoping to sign on a loan deal with a buy option attached. The Giallorossi would prefer this clause to be an obligation to buy instead.
Sanabria could then head to Lazio on the same formula, with his €1.5m net per season wages being covered by the exits of Dimtrije Kamenovic and Mohamed Fares, who seems destined to be sold this month.
