Lazio have received a vital boost in their quest to sign Juventus loanee Luca Pellegrini, allowing them to take the next steps forward.
The Biancocelesti clearly need to pick up a new left back this month and Maurizio Sarri has identified the 23-year-old Pellegrini as a strong fit for his squad.
The Italian coach did not work directly with the player during their year together at Juventus but he has been impressed with the left back’s growth.
As reported by Alfredo Pedulla (via LazioNews24), Eintracht Frankfurt have made it clear that they’re willing to send Pellegrini back to Juventus this month, allowing Lazio to agree a deal for the Italian full back.
The Bianconeri are hoping for a loan deal with an obligation to buy clause attached, but could be tempted by a buy option offer as well.
Pellegrini is willing to reduce his €3m net per season wages in order to push through a deal and is hoping things will be concluded next week.
