The starting lineups for today’s Serie A clash between Alessio Dionisi’s Sassuolo and Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio have been officially announced.
The home side are desperate to pick up all three points to restore a little confidence after a disastrous start to the season, which has left them 16th in the Serie A table. Sassuolo have only won four games out of 17 this campaign and lost four of their last five, leaving them in a tough spot.
Lazio have been left with a bitter taste in their mouths following their first two outings of 2023. The Biancocelesti went ahead in both games but ultimately dropped points after losing to Lecce and drawing with Empoli, frustrating Sarri.
Sassuolo cannot count on the injured Andrea Consigli and Andrea Pinamonti, limiting Dionisi’s firepower up front a little.
Lazio are without Mario Gila and Manuel Lazzari, with the former out injured and the latter suspended.
