Lazio Star Immobile Aiming for Juventus Coppa Italia Clash

Lazio captain Ciro Immobile is slowly recovering from his hamstring injury and has his sights set on the Coppa Italia clash with Juventus.

The 32-year-old Italian striker suffered the hamstring injury in the 15^th minute of the Biancocelesti’s 2-0 win over Sassuolo on 15^th January, forcing him to miss the 1-0 cup win over Bologna and 4-0 thrashing of defending champions Milan.

As highlighted by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Immobile underwent a round of medical tests yesterday, which showed positive signs for his hamstring injury. The 32-year-old is edging closer to making his return to action, but will still have to wait a little while longer.

The Lazio captain is unlikely to appear in the upcoming game against Fiorentina on 29^th January, but is hoping to be available for the Coppa Italia quarter-final clash with Juventus on 2^nd February.

Immobile has continued to be a talismanic figure for Lazio this season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists across 18 appearances.
