Lazio Partners With MatchWornShirt to Raise Funds for ADMO

In memory of the great Siniša Mihajlović, Lazio has decided to donate the proceeds from the auction of signed shirts worn during the Coppa Italia match against Bologna to ADMO Lazio (Associazione Donatori Midollo Osseo), to honour and remember a legend of football.

ADMO & Sinisa Mihajlovic

ADMO is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the importance of bone marrow stem cell donation and the possibilities of curing blood diseases such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma through transplantation.

Unfortunately, Mihajlović died of leukemia in December 2022. Mihajlović, after finding out about his illness, had become a firm believer in donating to support and contribute to the fight against leukemia.

He often said: ‘Donating costs nothing. In those two or three hours when you make this gesture you feel no pain, you feel nothing. And while you are doing it, you know that if you find a donor who is a match for your bone marrow, you can save their life’.

MatchWornShirt Auction

MatchWornShirt is an online platform that auctions professional football kits that were previously worn or autographed by the footballers themselves.

The shirts in this auction bear the names of the team’s best players such as Sergej Milinković-Savić, Luis Alberto, Alessio Romagnoli, and many others. There is also a very exclusive shirt that bears Mihajlović’s name and is signed by the entire team.
