Lazio could not replicate the energy seen against Milan in their hard-fought 1-1 draw with Fiorentina.
The Biancocelesti came into the match on a high following their 4-0 thrashing of the Rossoneri, hoping to maintain that level in their fight for a top four spot.
Vincenzo Italiano’s side proved determined at the Stadio Olimpico and held Lazio to an edgy 1-1 draw, almost nicking a winner in the dying moments of the match.
There were some positives on the pitch for Maurizio Sarri’s side, with Felipe Anderson, Nicolo Casale and Ivan Provedel all putting in a good shift. It was a quieter game from Luis Alberto and Danilo Cataldi, and even Ciro Immobile was shut out after coming on in the 71st minute.
Lazio will be hoping to shake off this draw ahead of their Coppa Italia quarter-final clash with Juventus, scheduled for 2nd February.
