Lazio could make a last-minute move for Juventus loanee Luca Pellegrini but need to find a buyer for Mohamed Fares.
La Lazio Siamo Noi highlights how the Biancocelesti met with Pellegrini’s agent Enzo Raiola in Formello yesterday, trying to line up a possible agreement to bring the Italian left back, who is willing to lower his wages to facilitate a move, to Rome.
Talks were positive, but Lazio cannot conclude a deal until they find a solution for Fares. The 26-year-old Algerian attracted the attention of both Torino and Antalyaspor, but neither were willing to pay the former SPAL man’s salary, causing the talks to collapse.
Eintracht Frankfurt are ready to say goodbye to Pellegrini and have already lined up a replacement in PSV’s Philipp Max.
With only hours left in the January transfer window, Lazio need to find a solution quickly for Fares if they want to snap up Pellegrini for the second half of the season.
