Inter & Milan Both Closely Following Lazio Coach Sarri

Maurizio Sarri could leave Lazio at the end of the season as both Inter and Milan are keeping a close eye on the coach, reports detail.

The 64-year-old Italian coach is halfway through his second year in charge of the Biancocelesti and the team have shown a lot of positives, despite still struggling with inconsistency and drops in focus.

Lazio are keenly involved in the race for a top four finish and could put together a strong run in the Europa Conference League, looking to replicate the work of their intercity rivals Roma in the competition last year.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), tensions between sporting director Igli Tare and Sarri could see the Italian coach leave Lazio at the end of the season. Inter and Milan are both keeping a close eye on the situation, interested in pouncing should he leave the Italian capital.

The Nerazzurri have looked good under Simone Inzaghi but the team now look set to miss out on the Scudetto for the second consecutive season, a disappointing result for the management.

For Milan, the recent drop in form has called Stefano Pioli’s future into question and missing out on the top four could see the Rossoneri make changes in the summer.
