Luca Pellegrini has yet to make his Lazio debut after joining the club last month but could finally take to the pitch in a Biancocelesti shirt.
The 23-year-old Italian left back joined the Roman club on a six-month loan deal with a buy option attached from Juventus on the final day of the January transfer window, adding a much-needed reinforcement to Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
Pellegrini struggled for consistent minutes with Eintracht Frankfurt in the first half of the season, playing just 559 minutes of Bundesliga action across nine appearances as he dealt with various minor injuries.
As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), Sarri has not given Pellegrini his Lazio debut yet as he believes the player still needs a little more time to adapt to his 4-3-3 system in the Italian capital.
The coach does appreciate the 23-year-old’s motivation and hard work in training, and may reward him with his debut in the Europa Conference League clash against CFR Cluj. Should he appear, he’d likely come off the bench in the second half.
