West Ham Look To Milinkovic-Savic in Search of Rice Replacement

West Ham have emerged as contenders for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic as they prepare to sell Declan Rice in the summer.

Both midfielders’ contracts expire in June 2024 and seem likely to make a move in the upcoming summer transfer, ready to take the next step of their careers. For Rice, top Premier League sides including Manchester United and Chelsea are keen to pick up the 24-year-old Englishman in the summer.

As reported by The Sun, West Ham are admirers of Milinkovic-Savic, having recently sent scouts to observe the Lazio midfielder. A move to a title-contending side in England is starting to look unlikely and the Hammers could represent an exciting idea for the Serbian midfielder.

Lazio are hoping to tie down the 28-year-old to a new long-term contract but this has started to look increasingly improbable in recent months, suggesting a high-profile sale in the summer could occur. The player has made it clear that he has no intention of leaving on a free transfer in 2024.
