Lazio Receive Milinkovic-Savic Boost Ahead of Sampdoria Clash

Lazio are gearing up for their next Serie A clash with Sampdoria and have seen positive signs from star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

The 27-year-old Serbian midfielder is one of the key figures in Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the Italian capital, scoring four goals and providing eight assists across 21 Serie A games this season.

Milinkovic-Savic did not take part in Lazio’s last two games against Salernitana and CFR Cluj, remaining on the sidelines with an illness.

As reported by Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24), Milinkovic-Savic has now fully recovered from the gastrointestinal problems that forced him to miss Lazio’s last two outings and expects to be with the squad for the upcoming game against Sampdoria.

It’s now up to Sarri to decide whether or not to start the Serbian star and he could be left on the bench to come on in the second half.

In the first meeting with Sampdoria this season, a 1-1 draw back in August, Milinkovic-Savic provided the assist for Ciro Immobile’s opening goal.
