Lazio vs Sampdoria: Recent History

Lazio have started to pick up some speed again after their slight dip following the 4-0 win over Milan at the end of last month. Maurizio Sarri’s side have won two of their last three outings, progressing to the Europa Conference League Round of 16 and cruising to a 2-0 win over Salernitana.

The Roman club sit 5th in the Serie A table, two points behind top four candidates Milan and Roma, making a win key if they want to stay in the fight for the Champions League spots.

Things have been difficult for Sampdoria this season and the team look destined for relegation, sitting 19th in the table with 11 points, eight points behind 17th place Spezia.

The Ligurian outfit have only won one of their last 12 league games and will be desperate to pull off the upset over the Biancocelesti.
