Lazio sent their supporters wild with their shock 1-0 win over league leaders Napoli and the club are hoping for greater backing as the top four race approaches the crucial stages.

Less than 1000 fans travelled to the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona to witness the Biancocelesti’s victory over the league leaders, a result that puts the team in a strong spot in the fight for a Champions League finish.

Whilst positivity has been high in the wider fanbase this season, some frustrations have emerged with the match-going fans at the Stadio Olimpico.

As reported by La Repubblica (via LazioNews24), the Lazio squad and coach Maurizio Sarri believe it perfectly acceptable to boo the squad for substandard performances, but they’re hoping for more backing during difficult moments.

Boos like the ones heard at the end of the first half against Atalanta in the recent defeat, or following the 0-0 draw with Sampdoria, bothered the team, who want to feel a greater sense of unity between players and supporters.

For its part, Lazio have been asked to reduce the price of tickets as much as possible at the Stadio Olimpico in order to encourage more fans to attend and to grow the relationship between supporter and club.
