Cataldi Ready to Pen Long-Term Contract With Lazio

Danilo Cataldi never had doubts about his future and he’s now ready to sign a new long-term contract with Lazio.

The 28-year-old Italian has grown into an important player under Maurizio Sarri, being the anchor in the three-man midfield. He has appeared in all but two of the Biancocelesti’s league games this season and has continued to prove his reliability and professionalism.

Cataldi is a product of Lazio’s youth system and has supported the club since his childhood, making him a talismanic figure in the squad.

Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) details how Cataldi is now preparing to sign a new contract with Lazio, which’ll expire in 2028. His current deal runs out in 2024 and he has no intention of leaving the club any time soon.

The Italian midfielder has been offered a €500,000 raise, raising his salary from €1 million to €1.5 million net per season. He was happy with this, not asking to receive any extra, a sign of his love for the club.
