Six Lazio Players Hoping for Italy Call-up

Ciro Immobile is one of six Lazio players hoping to be called up by Roberto Mancini for Italy’s upcoming Euro 2024 qualifiers.

The Azzurri are gearing up for their first competitive commitments since last year, when they were forced to watch the World Cup in Qatar from home after their disastrous play-off defeat to North Macedonia.

Italy will face England on March 23 before playing Malta on March 26, leaving Mancini to carefully consider his options in the weeks prior.

As highlighted by La Lazio Siamo Noi, six Lazio players are in with a chance to make Mancini’s 27-man Italy squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers, starting with star striker Immobile.

The 32-year-old is working on recovering from his recent muscle issue and is hoping to just make the cut, even if he’s unlikely to start in either of Italy’s matches.

The other five Lazio players hoping to join the Azzurri squad are Ivan Provedel, Nicolo Casale, Alessio Romagnoli, Mattia Zaccagni and Matteo Cancellieri.
