Things are not looking good for injured Lazio captain Ciro Immobile, who will likely miss out on the upcoming Derby della Capitale.

The 32-year-old Italian striker has been bothered by various injuries throughout this season and was again forced to the sidelines in recent weeks with a new muscle issue, leaving him to watch the loss to AZ Alkmaar and the draw with Bologna from home.

Immobile is still a talismanic figure in Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio squad, having scored nine goals and provided three assists in 20 Serie A appearances this campaign.

As highlighted by Gianluca Di Marzio, Immobile will undergo a round of medical tests this week to determine his availability for the upcoming Derby della Capitale, scheduled for 19th March, but hopes are not high for the 32-year-old.

The Lazio captain will certainly miss out on the return leg with AZ and is unlikely to feature against intercity rivals Roma, leaving the Biancocelesti without their star man for the key clashes.
