Victor Becali, the agent of CFR Cluj winger Ermal Krasniqi, hinted at a possible deal with Lazio in the summer.

The Biancocelesti are hoping to secure a Champions League finish this season in order to give them greater resources to work with in the summer transfer window.

Lazio started overhauling Maurizio Sarri’s squad last year but it’s clear that further work is needed to provide him with a squad capable for fighting for the top objectives, with a lack of options proving frustrating this campaign.

Speaking to Fanatik (via LazioNews24), Becali discussed his client Krasniqi and the possibility of a transfer in the summer.

Krasniqi is a player that a certain club is interested in. He is Kosovan, but also Albanian. I have a friend of Albanian origin who has a role in a big team and something could be done.

It depends on him. I can’t say which country the club is from.

Despite Becali’s vagueness, it’s widely believed that he’s referring to Lazio sporting director Igli Tare, who is known to be active in the market in eastern Europe.

This season, Krasniqi has scored four goals and provided one assist in 11 appearances for CFR Cluj, having joined the club in January in a deal worth around €200,000.
