Lazio are reportedly in talks with SC Freiburg forward Roland Sallai, who is rumoured to have visited the team’s training ground in Formello recently.

The Biancocelesti clearly need to pick up a new striker in the upcoming summer transfer window, being forced to deploy a winger in a false nine system when star striker Ciro Immobile is absent.

The recent departure of Vedat Muriqi has left a gaping hole in the squad, something Lazio are ready to fill at the end of the season.

As highlighted by LazioNews24, rumours suggest that Sallai visited Lazio’s training ground in Formello last week, heating up the prospect of seeing the Hungarian striker in Rome next season.

TMW reported on Tuesday that Lazio had already opened talks with Freiburg to discuss a move for the 25-year-old, who would cost around €14-15m.

Sallai is known to be a tactically flexible forward, able to play as either a winger or a central striker, adding a useful option to Maurizio Sarri’s squad.
