Lazio Look to Felipe Anderson as Roma Rely on Dybala

The Derby della Capitale between Lazio and Roma will see two players in particular look to guide their teams to glory: Felipe Anderson and Paulo Dybala.

The Biancocelesti are without talismanic striker Ciro Immobile, still recovering from a muscle injury, so will deploy the Brazilian winger in the centre of the front three as a false nine, a role he’s played to some success this season.

For Roma, Tammy Abraham’s disappointing form this year has seen them increasingly rely on Dybala, who has directly contributed to 21 goals across 28 appearances this campaign.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi) highlights how both Felipe Anderson and Dybala will play pivotal roles in the Derby della Capitale.

In the first derby between Lazio and Roma this season, the Brazilian winger scored the winner in a tense 1-0 battle, whilst Dybala was forced to miss out with a hamstring injury.

Felipe Anderson has managed to shake off his major inconsistency problem and is now a core part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad in Rome. For Jose Mourinho and Roma, Dybala is the key creator and focal point of their attack, and he’ll be hungry to take revenge on the Biancocelesti in the fight for a top four finish.
