Inzaghi Could Look To Bring Lazzari to Inter

Manuel Lazzari is unhappy with his recent drop in minutes at Lazio and could look to join up with Simone Inzaghi at Inter in the summer.

The 29-year-old Italian full back struggled to show his best in Maurizio Sarri’s first season in the Italian capital, having issues adapting to the 4-3-3 system employed by the tactician.

Lazzari did manage to adapt and featured prominently in the first half of this season, but has started to fall down the pecking order in Rome, starting just four matches in Serie A in 2023.

As reported by La Lazio Siamo Noi, Inter are planning to sell Denzel Dumfries in the summer, forcing them to find a lower-cost replacement. The club are considering a number of options, one of which may be Lazzari.

Much depends on whether Inzaghi keeps his job with the Nerazzurri or not. Should he stay, he’d be happy to work with the Lazio full back again.

Inter are also planning to ask for a discount on Biancocelesti loanee Francesco Acerbi and they could look to propose a double deal involving Lazzari, possibly offering around €15-16 million.
