Lazio Captain Immobile Ready to Return Against Monza

Lazio will be able to count on talismanic striker Ciro Immobile in their next Serie A clash against Monza.

The 32-year-old Biancocelesti captain was forced to miss the team’s last four games across all competitions due to another muscle injury, but he has been working hard on his recovery during this international break.

Despite his struggles with injuries this season, Immobile has remained the focal point of the Lazio attack, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 27 games across all competitions.

As highlighted by LazioNews24, Maurizio Sarri is ready to start Immobile in Lazio’s upcoming Serie A match with Monza, keen to have the captain back on the pitch leading the line once again.

The only absentee now for the Biancocelesti is defender Adam Marusic, who was shown a red card after the full time whistle of the Derby della Capitale, forcing him to remain absent.

Immobile will be hungry to return to scoring ways for Lazio, having last netted in the 2-0 win over Salernitana on 19th February.
