Lazio Ready to Fight Juventus & Roma for Frattesi

Lazio are desperately searching for a replacement for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and have quietly been working on a move for Sassuolo star Davide Frattesi.

The Biancocelesti are prepared to sell the Serbian midfielder in the summer, pushing them to start considering replacements. Maurizio Sarri is a big fan of Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski, who could become an option in the summer, but Claudio Lotito has other ideas.

Il Messaggero (via LazioNews24) details how the Lazio president has been working on a deal for Sassuolo’s Frattesi since December of last year, when he met the player’s agent Giuseppe Riso at Villa San Sebastiano.

Juventus and Roma are also interested in picking up the 23-year-old, who seems destined to leave the Neroverdi in the summer, and the race is on for the Italian midfielder.

Sassuolo want around €30 million for Frattesi and the competition will be fierce, which is why Lotito met with Riso a few weeks ago to continue discussions.

Updates are expected in the coming weeks and months, especially as Lazio look to find a buyer for Milinkovic-Savic.
