Pedro has agreed to sign a new one-year contract with Lazio, but pen won’t be put to paper until after his current deal expires.
The 2010 World Cup winner has proven himself an important part of Maurizio Sarri’s squad in the Italian capital since his arrival on a free transfer back in August 2021, being an experienced and intelligent winger.
When Pedro joined Lazio after agreeing to terminate his deal with Roma, the Giallorossi inserted a clause that would see them receive just under €1 million should he end up signing a contract renewal.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Pedro has now agreed to sign a one-year contract with Lazio, which he’ll sign after his current deal expires at the end of June, allowing him to avoid paying that fee to Roma.
The player and club have already drawn up the new deal and have a private agreement to ensure that pen will be put to paper in July.
