Spezia vs Lazio: Official Starting Lineups Announced

The starting lineups for this evening’s Serie A match between Leonardo Semplici’s Spezia and Maurizio Sarri’s Lazio have been announced.

Recent History & Form

2023 has not been particularly kind to Spezia, who have only managed to win twice in their 14 league games after the World Cup break. The team are now hovering dangerously close to the relegation zone, sitting just four points ahead of 18th place Hellas Verona.

In stark contrast, Lazio have been on fire in recent months and find themselves sat second in the Serie A table, five points ahead of third place Roma. Sarri’s side are hungry to secure qualification to the Champions League and have shown no signs of slowing down in recent weeks.

When these two teams met back in October, Lazio comfortably flew to a 4-0 win over home, with Spezia looking thoroughly overwhelmed.

Spezia & Lazio Team News

Spezia cannot count on Emil Holm, Julius Beck, Joao Moutinho and Szymon Zurkowski, all of whom are sidelined with injuries. Simone Bastoni is also absent due to suspension.

The only absence for Lazio is midfielder Matias Vecino, who missed yesterday’s training session due to a knee issue.
