Lazio captain Ciro Immobile wants to take to the pitch against Torino, less than a week after being involved in a car crash.
The 33-year-old Italian striker’s car collided with a tram in the streets of Rome on Sunday last week, an incident that left him with a slight spine injury, a fractured rib, and an injury to his arm.
After spending a few days in hospital, Immobile returned to Formello earlier this week and carried out the entirety of the squad training session on Friday, wearing an elastic bandage on his arm, a bandage on his hand, a plaster on his left shin and still nursing the fractured rib.
Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24) details how Immobile showed his grit to Maurizio Sarri and his Lazio teammates, making it clear that he wants to take part in their Serie A clash with Torino.
Sarri is anxious about the prospect of rushing the 33-year-old back to action, but knows that the striker is desperate to take to the pitch again.
